Centre of Excellence - signed by Will Greenwood
England Rugby fans have become accustomed to watching Will Greenwood using his massive, 6ft 3in frame to great effect on the international rugby field, helping him to become England's leading try scorer; at the start of the 2004/05 season he stood on 30. He possesses an uncanny ability to spot the slightest weakness in the ranks of the opposition and then exploit it to the full. For the past two years he has also been the top try scorer in the RBS Six Nations Championship.
Such an illustrious career is perhaps not so surprising since Will is the son of former England Captain and national coach, Richard Greenwood, who won five England caps between 1966 and 1969.
Will singles out hand-eye co-ordination as the crucial attribute for success on the rugby field and he certainly put his to good use during the 2003 World Cup when he was involved in all but one of the games. He scored England's only try against South Africa in the competition and his try against Wales in the uncomfortably close quarter-final turned the match in England's favour.
