Official World Cup Print - Mexico 1970
This classic piece of 1970's design represents what to many fans is the greatest World Cup of all time. Indeed, the Brazilian team led by the formidable Pele, who won their third World Cup in Mexico is often considered the greatest ever to grace a football field.
To acknowledge their third World Cup victory, the Brazilians were given the honour of being permanently awarded the Jules Rimet trophy in recognition of their achievements.
The 1970 World Cup was also the first to permit substitutes and following the on-field violence in previous finals in Chile and England, yellow and red cards were also used for the first time.
In a tournament which football purists heaped no end of praise on, it is also widely stated that the semi-final match between Italy and West Germany was the most memorable of all time. The sheer drama of the Italian 4-3 victory is long remembered and has been immortalised by a monument outside the Aztec stadium where the match was played.
The final game was played out at Mexico City's awe inspiring Aztec Stadium on June 21st. Brazil played their way to memorable 4-1 win over Italy with winger Jairzinho becoming the only player to have scored in every match.
In recognition of the much coveted 1970's finals we are proud to offer you an opportunity to secure this famous print - a true piece of football history.
