Henrik Larsson's scoring record at Celtic was nothing short of phenomenal and the Swedish star will forever be remembered by the grateful Parkhead faithful as the most prolific striker in the club's long and illustrious history.

Signed from Dutch side Feyenoord in the summer of 1997 for a bargain £650,000, Larsson proceeded to rip up the record books in his seven seasons in Scotland with the Bhoys and his 221 Scottish Premier League appearances in the famous white and green saw him score a breathtaking total of 173 goals.

His strike rate in all competitions was just as astonishing. Larsson played 315 games in all for Celtic, finding the back of the net 242 times to make him arguably the finest European striker of his generation in terms of his goals per game ratio.

The love affair between the striker and his adoring Hoops fans finally came to an end in the summer of 2004 when he signed for Spanish giants Barcelona but the Swede had already earned himself a permanent place in the supporters' hearts, as well as the club's folklore.

He remains the record scorer in Scottish Premier League history and won four SPL titles, two Scottish FA Cups and two Scottish League Cups during his Parkhead career.
