Wing Wizard - signed by Ieuan Evans

Almost impossible to mark and solid in defence, Ieuan Evans is Wales' chief record breaker. He holds the record for most tries in a game (4) and his 33 tries were only recently beaten by Gareth Thomas. His 72 appearances are another record, as are his 28 appearances as Captain. Ieuan also scored Wales' fastest international try after just 45 seconds against Japan in the 1993 Rugby World Cup.

No Welshman has appeared more times for the British Lions than Ieuan Evans. He is one of a select few 'British Lion Triple Tourists' who have toured all three major southern hemisphere rugby nations. His most famous Lions moment was probably the David Campese error which he forced and then capitalised on to score the decisive try that secured the series win against Australia in 1989.

Ieuan's greatest moments were probably captaining Wales to the 1994 Five Nations Championship and his stunning try against Scotland in 1988. He was awarded the MBE in 1996 for services to rugby.
