Art & Sport Together - Limited edition 'splash' print created and signed by Cesc Fabregas
One of the most stylish and gifted players of his generation, Cesc Fabreags has lit up the Premier League since his Arsenal first team debut as a 16-year-old back in 2003 and he is already widely regarded as one of Europe's most influential midfielders.
Born in the coastal town of Arenys de Mar in the north of Spain in 1987, Fabregas took his first steps in the game with his beloved Barcelona, who he has supported as a boy, but headed to England in September 2003 to join the Gunners and develop his career under Arsene Wenger.
It was to prove a shrewd move and under his French manager's watchful eye, the young Spaniard blossomed and soon became a first-team regular.
His stylish and assured performances as the midfield playmaker at the Emirates inevitably caught the attention of his national team and Fabregas made his debut for Spain in a friendly against the Ivory Coast in 2006, becoming the youngest cap for his country in 70 years.
He was also a key player in Spain's triumphant Euro 2008 campaign, helping his country claim a major trophy for the first time in 44 years.
