Andy Johnson began his career at Birmingham City, and also enjoyed a prolific four-year spell at Crystal Palace, but it has been at Everton that he has matured into one of the Premier League's most respected and feared strikers.

Lightning quick, intelligent and blessed with a natural eye for goal, Johnson joined the Toffees in a £8.6 million deal in May 2006 and marked his debut the following season with a goal in the side's 2-1 victory over Watford at Goodison.

A full England international, his goals that season helped fire Everton towards Uefa Cup qualification and he is now firmly established as a key figure in the Everton set-up.
